Ivy Ledford, 18, began dancing at the age of 9 and never looked back. Ivy began her dance training at Asheville Dance Theater in Asheville, NC under the direction of Cheryl Whitworth and Tonia Freeman. At the age of 14 Ivy began training at Dancers Corner in Greer, Sc under the direction of Whittney Niemi. During her years of dancing competitively, she has studied jazz, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, and tap. Ivy also attended the Fine Arts Center, a magnet arts high school, with curriculum in ballet, modern, improvisation, and composition under renowned artist such as Kate Skarpetowska, Brian Mcginnis, Tyler Gilstrap, and Nathan Makolandra. Ivy has recently received an invitation to join The Collective, a prestigious opportunity with Dance Makers allowing her to travel the country and assist the top dancers and choreographers in the nation during the 2016-17 year. Ivy is very excited to continue growing as a dancer under the direction of Kathryn McCormick, Brooke Paulsen-Zelus, Robert Roldan, Tommy Alexander, Keith Clifton, and many more.
