Lara Scott has been a part of Dancers Corner since the day it opened. Lara took her first dance class with Lisa Fowler at the age of 4, and her life was forever changed! She was a devout DC company member for over a decade, one of the first members of the DC Apprentice Program, and is now the assistant company director and instructor. Lara is a national award winning dancer and performer. She has received extensive training in Los Angeles, as well as New York City, and is a graduate of Broadway Dance Center’s Professional Semester and Summer intern Program. She had the opportunity of assisting and working closely with world renowned teachers and choreographers such as David Kent, Sheila Barker, Mark Goodman, Joshua Bergasse and many more. She has also been very involved in the Miss America Organization, recognized as a top 5 finalist and preliminary winner in the Miss South Carolina pageant. Lara is known for her positive attitude, outgoing personality and passion for life… Incorporating those qualities in her teaching and students!
