Melissa Becraft
Melissa Becraft first fell in love with dance at Dancers Corner. She started dancing at a later age than most, but was instantly motivated to rise to the challenge and excel in dancing . Melissa went on to become a company member, top award winning dancer, and a part of the Dancers Corner Professional Apprentice Program. Finding passion in both music and movement, she is heavily involved in choreography as well as her dancing and has won multiple awards for her pieces. She has assisted well known choreographers from around the country. Melissa is a graduate of the Professional Semester Program at Broadway Dance Center in New York City, where she was chosen to present an original piece at the final showcase. She was awarded top choreographer for her piece, and has been asked to return and present pieces at future showcases. Melissa is also involved in the modeling industry and walked the runway during New York Fashion Week. Melissa truly has a rags to riches story, and is grateful for all the talented dancers and gifted teachers at Dancers Corner for making her dream possible! She longs to inspire her students to work hard and fulfill their own dance destiny!
